The Bean & Leaf Cafe has been a staple of Manteca for over 25 years, first opened by the late Richard Kinsall, who created a nice environment for locals to enjoy coffee and dining with friendly service.

In 2009, longtime employee, Heather Elkins, took over the reigns and launched the coffee shop into the top quality establishment coffee drinkers and cafe patrons deserve. Bean & Leaf remained the favorite area coffee shop even in the face of Starbucks opening a location right next door.

In 2020, while the rest of the world was falling apart, Heather’s sister and longtime manager, Erica Elkins, acquired the cafe and continued to provide the excellent service and products Manteca grew to love, as well as put her own touch on the atmosphere. Erica is now responsible for the Bean & Leaf Cafe you know and love today!
